I’m writing a paper for my college sociology class and I chose to write it on different body modifications in different societies and how they are or aren’t accepted.
Some examples are: going to the gym, coloring ones’ hair, cosmetic surgery (implants, nose jobs, lipo, botox, etc.) ear stretching, tattoos, piercings, just to name a few.
Also, keep in mind that a social norm in America could be different to societies and cultures around the world.

What I want to know is what do people think is and isn’t acceptable and why?
-Does it matter in the work place?
-Does ones’ opinion of beauty trump anothers?
-What about globally?
-What’s next?
