Because people like to relate everything to a racism issue or self hate etc.
The texture of these extensions are that of white or asian hair so people assume black girls are denying their natural hair.
People notice it and apply to every black girl.
It’s a similar thing with light skinned people who use tan. Most of us stay natural but for the ones that do it’s- why are you trying to be black?

It’s all a lot of bull and I choose to ignore it.
My little sister (white) wears extension’s to give her more volume.
I have naturally long, thick hair so I leave it. If my hair was very thin, then I’d probably head for the fake hair as well.

People do to themselves what they feel makes them look better. Others try to turn it into an issue.

And, yes. There probably are some black girls that do it because they’re not happy with what they are- but with the majority, this is not the case.

Mostly insecure white boys make fun of weaves on black girls. I think its because they are secretly jealous and want to wear one too.
