Psychological hype….?

Well…I’ve been watching the Christians for a while. They have led themselves to believe that God and the Holy Spirit are (is) constantly paying specific attention to them. They even believe that God likes to have a preacher slam them in the head and knock them to the ground. WHAT??? I label this sort of nonsense as psychological hype. You can make yourself believe anything if you dwell upon it, or repeatedly state it. Sexuallity is a huge issue in religion as well as in our current society. I have noticed that the attractive Christians drop there pants as much as the non-believers. Not a good testament. This tells me that there is absolutely something false with this system. I have also noticed that the believers will only go as far as what suits their convenience. So….I know that we should only look to God, since the humans will always let you down. However…if you are going to judge a club…you must examine the members. You would not join a hair restoration club when all of the members are bald would you? As far as I can see…most of the Christians are bald. Why should I wish to join such a club? Can you show me how this is not all psychological hype?

I believe in God, but am rapidly losing faith in "Christianity".

If Jesus is so powerful, why can the "Christians" not conform?
So…Scotgirl… you have just explained that having Jesus in my life is ineffective as far as me conquering my fleshly desires. So why would I want to join? I will fail regardless. How does that make me different from those who do not believe?

There are other Christians that behave differently than the fundamentalists. New thought Christians and their beliefs make so much more sense. You can’t paint all Christians with the same broad brush.

Those who talk the talk but don’t walk the walk tend to stand out in the crowd and draw attention. Those who walk the walk are following Jesus, not joining the crowd.

At’a boy! You are correct that the good-looking supposed "Christians" have sex just as much as non-believers. You are also correct in that many "believers" only go so far as to what suits THEIR convenience. On the ball, if you are going to join a club, you should examine the members.

The main problem you’re contending with in this question is: EXAMPLE. And yes, example is powerful. The "Christians" are giving very poor examples. How is that going to make you want to continue in Christianity at all? Well…its not! as you already demonstrated. But let me tell you this, JESUS is the example. Look to him. These "Christians" that you’re looking at in these churches, all they are is a Name. That’s it! That’s as far as it goes. They’re not changed people and they have not given their lives to Jesus. So you’re looking at his and are like, "Wow, what a bunch of nonsense." A lot of it is psychological hype. My friend, "Wanna Bite?," you are presently viewing FAKE CHRISTIANITY. Ahem…fake christianity is the predominant "christianity" in today’s "Christian" world. I know what you need. You need to see truly changed Christians that are really bible-practicing people that love and serve the Lord. Until then, you’re going to be growing more skeptical.

Don’t forget, this doesn’t make Christianity false! True Christianity is beneath all the rubbish, and true Christian examples are HARD to find nowadays. Don’t lose faith. This issue has nothing at all to do with Jesus’ lack of power. These stubborn heady people will just not conform to his will and allow his power to work wonders in their lives!

I present you a challenge: YOU be the first. Why won’t you conform and show these nutballs what Christianity is really all about.
