If you have a signed agreement with the owner to return $1000 to you then you will be able to get that amount returned. It is very unlikely that you would be able to get all of your money back unless you had evidence of some sort of fraud. Without knowing the specifics of anything you have signed I would suggest that most similar services contain a disclaimer which does not guarantee results (think of a diet service–they don’t have to refund your money if you don’t lose weight). If money was returned for bad service a lot of companies would be out of business. Another thing to consider is the statutory amount for small claims court in your area. Often there is a $5000 cap. You can seek more money but you cannot use small claims court. So to answer your question, no, you will not easily get all the money returned to you but with the proper documentation you may be able to get the $1000 you agreed to returned to you.
