I am 6o years old & my hair is thinning rather quickly. What can I do?

I have rheumatoid arthritis, just had a hip replacement, off prednizone for 4 months. I know steroids stay in one’s body for 2 years, so I’ve gained weight. I want my old hair back. Any suggestions?

1. Assess your nutritional status. Hair loss at your age could be related to poor diet, especially inadequate veggie intake.

2. Get your thyroid checked. Quick blood test. Low thyroid functioning can cause rather dramatic hair loss all over the body.

3. Could be hereditary/stress/hat wearing/high altitude/smoking.
