Hi, I have a Silver Bullet hair straightener which I’ve had since Christmas 2009. Just now, the wheel thing that controls the temperature fell out of the straightener. I’ve turned it off, but I don’t know if that will totally turn down the temperature on the straightener.
a) Is it a safety/fire hazard at the moment?
b) Is there any way of fixing the wheel?
c) Is there any way of getting a replacement or contacting the company? I can’t find a website for Silver Bullet

I live in Melbourne, Australia, so American websites will be of no use. It was a Christmas present so I have no idea what store it was bought from. Mum can’t remember.
I looked at one of the boxes it came in; the company brand might be Black Crystal. Unless that’s just the specific name for the type of Silver Bullet hair straightener…
