breast implants?

why are so many women into getting breast implants these days? Of all the things to do to improve one’s looks, why go to these measures? My boobs are small, i wish they were a bit bigger, but not enough to go under the knife. I see a lot of women with ugly bodies saying they want boob jobs…i want to say, why dont you hit the gym, hair salon and buy some new clothes, then see how you feel. I’m not a guy, but i just dont see how a boob job on an ugly girl will make them look much better…sorry if that sounds mean.

Im happy with my breast size, I would never get them. My point was that i see women who are not attractive in many other areas that they could work on first but they just go right for the boob job. It doesnt make sense to me. I’d much rather be an in shape, attractive, well put together woman than a frumpy, dumpy woman with fake boobs-this is what i’m seeing.

There are different reasons women are seeking breast augmentation. Breast augmentation can have life-changing results. Most breast augmentation patients are seeking to regain their youthful figures, which have been altered by age, pregnancy, nursing or weight fluctuations. So it’s not all about just having a "large boobs". Women who breastfed may want to restore their brest shape and size and gym will unlikely help them.

For some, breast implants are done after surgery on the breasts and it makes the woman feel a little better about her medical situation, so dont judge all by this.

However, a majority of boob jobs you see are done by women who have vanity issues! But hey, its their thousands being spent on something that obviously fake, and men prefer the real thing over something thats some what a solid, LOL!

"ugly" beauty is in the eye of the beholder boob job or no.

I work for a plastic surgeon who specializes in breast implants so I see a lot of women coming in. I can’t say exactly why girls decide they need to get them but I can tell you that there is a big change in their attitude after the surgery is done. They smile, they stand up straight… It’s a generalized rule that women have breasts, men don’t… and when women don’t have them they feel. well, less then womanly. A lot of men still believe that whole, "whoa, big tits, she must give it up easy!" theory and, unfortunately, some girls do, too. Also, some of the women getting implants suffer from breast asymmetry (one breast is larger then the other) and it can become incredibly noticable, so much so that insurance covers that as a medically necessary procedure because it can cause a young woman intense emotional turmoil. We all just want to look in the mirror and say, "Yeah, I’d tap that."

I must inquire first of all why you ask about breast implants. From the way you wrote your question it seems that the thought has crossed your mind which is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. I will tell you that I have just recently gotten them and have no regrets and also have not had any complications (which is NOT to say that there aren’t any risks!!) I personally didn’t do it to get bigger boobs… as I am a C after the fact. There are many reasons to get breast augmentation. In my case, I had lost quite a bit of weight and had what is called ptosis (sagging of the breasts) and also breast assymetry to the point where one breast was a full cup larger than the other. Yes, it was technically for vanity reasons. However, not being able to buy a bathing suit or shirts, or bras without worrying that everyone could tell can really take a toll on your self esteem. More importantly, it took a toll on my marriage… I felt ashamed to even let my husband see me. No, I don’t think they are for everyone and I would definately tell you to weigh the risks involved, but if anything I would ask that you don’t judge people for getting them without first knowing their story!!

Trust me… Buying new clothes, getting your hair done, and going to the gym doesn’t change the underlying insecurity and by the time you are done you will probably have spent the same as if you would have gotten the surgery!!

Also… what does being ugly have anything to do with breast augmentation anyway???

in that case, if you are ugly then no, having bigger boobs wont make u look better. then, some guys *jerks ahem* will sleep with just bout any girl as long as shes got "tits" or a "hott ass." it’s our society these days.. every girl thinks shes got to have big boobs to look good. we’v got hollywood to thank for that one!

i, basically feel the same way as you, if god, meant for you to have big bobbs we allwould have them, why anyone would want something fake placed in there bodies is something that i just dont understand, nor do i understand why anyone would risk the dangers of surgery to do so, and risk anesthesia for it, each time you go under anesthesia, its a risk, people do die, not often, but why take a unneccary chance, besdes fake boobs look fake, im sure they feel fake, and how are you ever supposed to breast feed your child someday if you want to? having fake boobs is like smoking cigarrestes, you know its not good for you and there is a chance that someday you can have a real life or death situation, so i say stay True and stay REAL
