Can you recommend specific vitamin supplement(s) for prevention of hair loss for a normal healthy female who has no other health problems.

You haven’t read my question properly. Look in the details, I asked for a female Just because I am a guy (your assumption based on my avatar), shouldn’t I be asking questions related to females? Ha! go take a good reading class or something before u try to critisize me.

I have a 5 week old son and would like to know if there is anyway of preventing him from developing those rather unsightly bald patches that so many babies seem to develop. I try to make sure that he gets plenty of ‘tummy time’ every day but he still seems to be getting a bit bald.

All hints and tips will be greatly appreciated.

i am a 17 yr old boy experiencing hair loss since my sister hit me there while i was teasing her

I am not completly bald but have a receiding hairline and small bald spot.

{I have long hair, (half down my back. and it’s been falling so much lately, every time I brush it or evrytimr I showers I see a lot of hair falling out, maybe a little more than the usual. I dye my hair every 3 months, and use hair dryer, or hair streighteners not very often just like once a week. Anyone know something about it?

I came south about 6 years ago and immediately noticed a lot of women were balding. I had never seen anything like it up north. Now I am seeing a lot of strands on the floor and in the sink and wonder if moving south could have some negative effect on women ’s hair.

if it’s too rare it doens’t count, like if it’s one case in a million with no hair loss then i count it as not possible.
i just wonna know if u can get a cancer treatment and not lose your hair.
randy- considering your obvious ignorance and lack of originality and tolerance towards it, why would you want to display it?

Who does people see (in UK) if they suffer from hair loss? are there some kind of hair loss specialist? the doctor cannot help but recommend to see the dermatologist from BUPA… any other alternatives??

I’ve been reading here and there of peoples’ personal experiences that if you use a boar bristle brush or something similar to brush your hair and scalp it will help stimulate growth. Does anyone know if there is any truth behind this?

I’ve bought one the other day so i’ll be trying it out soon. If it doesn’t work or makes things worse i won’t really regret it as i’m losing my hair and i shave my head now anyway.

Thank you in advance.

I am a young guy experiencing thinning hair and a receding hairline. I was wondering if the special shampoos for sale at salons for people with this problem are effective or just a gimmick.
I am just wondering if they could slow the hair loss not necessarily grow new hair back

Okay, I KNOW that its important for optimum hair health for it to be healthy from inside/root by good nutrition and maybe vitamins AND the length by propper trims, conditioning, an maybe hot oils at all times. What I really want to know is simple: if someone suddenly experienced major hair loss because of stress or a pregnancy (both which are known to cause hair loss) or whatever other reason, would suddenly cutting their length off or deep conditioning it/maintaning it form the outside make any difference since the cause was something so sudden that generally I would imagine it might not matter? My opinion is that if the hair was going to fall off because of major events as I mentioned, it won’t matter if your hair on the outside (which is already dead) is long or short, has split ends or is soft as butter. Does this make sense? I’m only referring to outside treatment not nutrition or vitamin etc.

I have been experiencing some extreme hair loss for many months now and I’ve gone to get blood work which has turned out pretty okay (very mild iron dificiency), thyroid is good, so are hormones etc. My hair has aways fallen out easily since I was little and it almost seems that my hair aside from being fine and thin comes off from the roots (scalp). Could it be that there’s a vitamin or mineral dificiency in me? If so, what kind and how can I take care of it? I’m concerned because I’ve never lost so much hair as I have now. I don’t feel like I’m stressed, no trauma so what is it? Haven’t given birth, no surgery etc. I’m actually now going to cut my hair shorter to hopefully help stop the hair loss but how can I make my hair stronger so it doesn’t fall off my scalp so easily?
My doctor just checked the testosterone level and that’s is okay too.

do all cancer treatments lead to hair loss or not?

I dont want to try rogaine or any products, cuz i heard you start losing hair again once u stop using them..

I lose hair like a dog that sheds. I know everyone loses hair everyday but the is an unusually high amount for me. I am 30 yrs old. I have been trying to lose weight and at a stand still. I lost 25 pounds and still watching my food intake and trying to exercise a little each day. Also my cycles have been very unusual. The length is anywhere from 32 – 48 days long.

If anyone has any idea what could be causing this let me know.

Please help i usually have really thick hair but have noticed hand fulls in the bath, on my clothes etc since giving birth to my son 4 months ago. It is now very thin around the hairline and looks almost like it is receeding at the temples! I really cant stand the thought of loseing more! Please help!

Propecia is the only FDA approved pill for hair loss treatment, but there are a lot of side effects associated with it. Any one who have used propecia, please give your comments on its effectiveness and side effects.

Normal hair until middle age. Could beginning of menopause have something to do with it?

My husband has alittle bald patch at front of hairline in 10 years he has lost about 10-15 hairs he is very concious of it.It doesn,t bother me at all.so if you have used it can you tell me if it works.

I’ve been losing hair at the front (forehead area), on top and in the (back) crown area. I didn’t notice it at first, but some of my "good" friends started making jokes about it. They noticed it before I did. Is there really anything out there that can help without surgery?

I’ve noticed my hair come out more than usual… I even see some bald patches underneath the outer layer of my hair. I’ve been coming out of a major nervous breakdown. Could this be related? Will my hair grow back?
